Hello! It’s been awhile since my last post. Things have just been…crazy, I guess. Lots of exciting things to come in the future! Anyways, I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! This morning, I made some progress in accomplishing one of my goals for this year – running a half marathon – I completed my first 10k in years! And I finished in under an hour! (This may sound slow to you, but after recovering from knee surgery and a stress fracture, I’ll take slow over injured any day.)
The event was in Irving, Texas – The Irving Marathon – and the race was wonderful. Weather was a beautiful 50 degrees and overcast (some of my favorite running weather), and everything was really well run. No complaints! My shins are a little bit sore, probably because I ran a little faster than normal, but overall I am feeling good! Yay!
It feels good to be one step closer to achieving one of my main goals for the year. Through this process, God has been teaching me that goals are achieved one small step at a time – success doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes I think I expect it to happen quickly, but honestly, the journey towards the goal is half of the fun. And there is always so much to learn along the way. I still have a lot of work to do on some of my other goals, but I am definitely making some progress.
Do you have a particular goal that you are working towards? Don’t give up. Even if it feels like you aren’t going anywhere, I promise that every tiny step you take in the right direction is progress. And over time, that progress leads to success. You can do it! Don’t give up!

Congrats on running the race and doing it in under an hour! Also thanks for the encouraging words. I have recently started taking violin lessons and it’s been great…sometimes frustrating but on the whole rewarding. This has been on my bucket list for years so feels good to finally try it 8—)
