Hello! How’s your Wednesday going so far? Mines been a little crazy with work, but overall pretty good! It was an early morning, but now I have the rest of the afternoon to get some stuff done around the house [and hang out with Samson] which is always a good thing:)
I wanted to share something I read from Psalms the other day. I’m sure you’ve probably heard it before, but sometimes you can gain new insight from rereading scriptures you’ve read countless times—it happens to me all the time!
“May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalms 19:14
If you’re anything like me, sometimes you forget to think before you speak. Or maybe think something about a certain person or situation—maybe you don’t voice your opinion, but those thoughts are still there inside your head. It’s not like I do this constantly, but, you know, sometimes you just have a moment of frustration. Know what I mean?
Even though technically no one heard your thoughts, you can be sure that God knew what you were thinking. Nothing we do, think or say can be kept secret from him—no matter how hard we try. And anyways, if there is something that we are doing or thinking that needs to be kept secret, we probably shouldn’t be doing or thinking it anyways.
Instead of looking for ways to cover up the things we don’t want God to ‘see’, maybe instead we should be focusing on making our words, thoughts and actions pleasing in God’s eyes. Maybe, out of love, obedience and respect, we should focus on doing, thinking and saying the things that God wants us to do—instead of the other way around.
Everything that we think, say and do should be pleasing to God. Obviously we are going to mess up and make mistakes—we are human after all. But humanity is not an excuse to give up or quit trying. Instead, we should focus on doing the best we can for Christ in any and every challenging situation we may find ourselves in.
Well, with that I’m off to go get a few things done. Hope you all have a great rest of your Wednesday! God Bless:)

Sarah, God gives you such deep introspection and wisdom. You are such a blessing to have for a daughter in law. May God continue to grow you in his wisdom and stature. May my words and actions be pleasing in God’s sight more than before from your reminders.
Miss you.
