Good Morning! How is your Thursday going so far? Mine has been going well so far—I got to sleep in which is always an added bonus:) I feel like it’s been awhile since my last post—I apologize. I have no excuse apart from general business over the past few weeks. Anyways. Let me share with you what I read from Exodus this morning…
“The Lord said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:11-12
The Lord was speaking to Moses when he said this, right after Moses started giving him excuses why he couldn’t lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Obviously God didn’t really think Moses’ excuses were relevant.
Moses was afraid. He didn’t think he was adequate for the job God had given him, and was afraid to try. But, what he didn’t understand was that God would be with him—every step of the way—and with God, all things are possible. Even those things that seem impossible [like convincing Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave Egypt] become entirely possible with God. We just have to trust him enough to show us how.
How often do we hear God speaking to us about a certain situation or opportunity, yet we feel too afraid to act on it? We feel God calling us to do something extraordinary, yet we hold back out of fear and doubt. How much more could we accomplish in our lifetimes if we truly trusted God with everything, and followed his plan completely? Moses was able to lead an entire nation out of slavery when he learned to trust and obey God…think about what you could accomplish!
Is there something you feel God calling you to, but are afraid to begin? Don’t be. Don’t let fear stop you from carrying out God’s will in your life. Trust Him. Trust Him completely, and he will be with you every step of the way.
I hope you all are having a great day so far…God Bless!
