“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind” – 2 Timothy 1:7
I still can’t believe that I’m finally publishing [RE]volution YOU as an e-book on Saturday. It’s one of those things I’ve been working on for so long, I wasn’t sure I would ever finish. Part of that feeling came from not being sure I actually wanted people to read what I wrote. I know, I know, I blog, and people read what I post here all the time. But this was different.
The message behind [RE]volution YOU is quite personal to me. There are some things that I have struggled with in the past that I talk about in the book but have never mentioned here on the blog – they just felt too personal I guess. And I was afraid to admit that I have had struggles in my past. I know that sounds silly – everyone has struggles in life – but talking about them can be challenging.
But I knew someone out there would benefit from hearing my story. Someone would learn something from the challenges I have faced. And as long as my story, and the message the Lord placed on my heart for [RE]volution YOU, could benefit one person, it was worth sharing. It was worth making myself vulnerable for.
Because God hasn’t given me a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. I don’t have to be afraid to become vulnerable and share my story; I don’t have to doubt the message God has placed on my heart to give. I don’t have to live in fear. Ever. I just have to embrace that the spirit living inside me is that of Jesus Christ. He is the one who gives me a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. And through his strength all things are possible.
Is there something that you are struggling with today? Something you are afraid to do? Be brave – you have a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind! Anything is possible for you through Christ!
And on that note, only two more days until [RE]volution YOU the e-book is here! I can’t wait for you all to read it!
