Good Morning! Hope you all are having a great start to your Wednesday. I am happy to report that Samson made it through his little procedure yesterday, and seems to be doing much better this morning. Last night he was still a little sleepy from the anesthetics, but today he seems back to his old self already. I woke up to him pouncing on my feet this morning, so he must be feeling better:)
I also read one of my favorite passages of scripture this morning…
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Only when we are at our weakest can Christ be at his strongest in our lives. So often we try to be strong on our own, thinking we can go through life without God’s help. We begin to rely on our own abilities to become successful, which in turn leads to pride, and ultimately destruction.
When we try to do things on our own, without Christ’s help, we don’t come close to the strength we could have through Him. Instead of relying on our own abilities and becoming prideful, we need to find our strength in Christ. Only through him can we truly accomplish anything worthwhile in life.
Don’t be afraid to let go of your own abilities and strength in order to allow God’s strength to become manifest within you. I have a feeling you’ll be surprised how much more you can accomplish through his strength instead of just your own.
Well, I hope you all have a great rest of your day! I’m off to go get a few things done before heading to work. God Bless:)
